Something old, something new…

Folks, it’s been a while.

I’ve mostly been off writing scripts (including co-writing the BAFTA-winning horror #HisHouse, available on Netflix) – and that side of things is set to continue. I’ve just updated this blog with news of that; my apologies for a load of (now quite old) stories coming at once.

But it so happens I like old stories. So, I just wanted to mention that as of today, there is also a new historical fantasy novel in the works.

It takes place in the north, in a time of darkness. It features some characters you may know – or think you know. And there will be monsters.

More to follow.

BAFTA win for HIS HOUSE

So… On the night of Sunday 11April two extraordinary things happened almost simultaneously. Hail came down in biblical proportions, covering everything – and HIS HOUSE won a BAFTA for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer. Phoebe Dynevor presented the award to director, Remi Weekes.

For those who may not know, Felicity Evans and I pitched the original idea for HIS HOUSE to Starchild Pictures. After commissioning we developed it with them – and later with Remi when he was brought on board – and wrote the first draft screenplay.

Still processing, but I think it was real…
